We had a potluck Thanksgiving of sorts this year. We made a few side dishes, some friends brought the bird and the fryer (and some great king crab dip, pecan pie and pomegranates). I've never fried a turkey before, but I have to say it was really tasty. This was our lovely turkey before carving it. Below is one of our pumpkin pies. We all ate way too much--it was great.
